USA Football's Kid Reporter Storms Media Day

Hi. My name is Frank Zumph. I was chosen to be USA Football's Kid Reporter at Media Day.  I entered a contest held by Glendale Parks and Rec, I was one of the four finalists. I had to interview the staff members like they were NFL players. I'm glad they chose me, this was really cool.

I play flag football at Glendale Park and Rec and next year I'm going to play tackle football. I can't wait.

When I got to the University of Phoenix Stadium there were a lot of people who wanted to talk to Randy Moss and Tom Brady, just like me. The first player I interviewed was Richard Seymour. I asked him what part of the Giants' offense the Pats' defense has to focus on. He said tackling was most important part of the game. If you don't tackle well the other team will run all over you.

They had a lot of the players up on podiums; it was hard for me to see over all the reporters. I had to sneak around to the side or move up real close. Most people were really nice to me and let me ask my questions. I walked down to the 10-yardline to talk to Tedy Bruschi. He was shocked by my question. I asked him since he had a stroke would this Super Bowl be his last game. He said he didn't know, he will talk to his wife after the season and they will discuss it as a family. He told me they do this every year.

Then I went over to talk to Tom Brady, there were tons of people who wanted to talk to Tom Brady. I waited a REALLY LONG TIME. I asked him if he was mad the 49ers didn't draft him. He said he was really mad for a long time, but then he wasn't mad anymore. He said it was a great lesson. When things don't work out the way you planned, you need to be ready for the next opportunity. I also asked him why he wears the number 12. He told me that one and two equals three and three is his lucky number.

The last Patriot I interviewed was Randy Moss. I was surprised to see so many people around him. I guess Randy Moss is their favorite player too. I waited over five minutes to talk to him. I asked him how this team compares to the near perfect team he played for in Minnesota. He said the Minnesota team was very good, but they didn't make it to the Super Bowl. He is really excited to be playing in the Super Bowl.

I liked that  NFL players took time to answer all my questions. They all called me "little man." They would stop other reporters and say "let the little man talk." Except for Michael Strahan -- he called me "big man." I got up real close to him. He is a really big man. The Patriots were all very serious, the Giants seemed like they were having more fun. I did not get a chance to talk to either of the head coaches.

After the Patriots were done we went up into the stadium to have brunch. I ate some bacon. While I was eating I looked up to the TV set and saw Eli Manning on the TV. I knew we had to get back down on the field and ask more questions.

I asked some of the players if they could give me some advice on playing football. I'm going to play tackle football for the first time next year. The players told me to study hard in school, stay positive and always listen to your parents. Plaxico Burress told me never let anyone tell me I couldn't do something. Reuben Droughns told me if I want to be a good football player I should wear number 22. That's his number. I think he was joking with me.

All of the players were really nice to me. My favorite part was interviewing the New York linemen. They were really big, I mean really big. The linemen joked around with me and took pictures with me.

I really don't know who to root for in the Super Bowl because both teams were so nice to me. But when I really think about it, I'd say the Patriots are going win.

Today was totally awesome; I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.
