Chuck Kyle has been the head coach at Cleveland St. Ignatius High School for 26 years and has won 10 Ohio state titles, but this summer will provide him the opportunity to do something he has never before experienced in his storied career. In June and July, he will lead USA Football's Junior National Team at the 2009 IFAF Junior World Championship in Canton, Ohio.
Kyle sat down at this year's American Football Coaches Association Convention in Nashville, Tenn., to share his thoughts about what it will mean for the players (aged 19 and under) to compete on an international stage with "USA" written across their chests and the Star Spangled Banner as their fight song.
See what else Kyle had to say about what it takes to make it as a great coach - not just based on wins and losses but with the players as well - making sure to teach the fundamentals of the game while keeping it fun at the same time.
