The IFAF Junior World Championship event schedule kicks off with a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of Fawcett Stadium's new press box on June 12.

The practice and events schedule for the eight teams from four continents competing in the 2009 International Federation of American Football (IFAF) Junior World Championship has been announced.

USA Football's Junior National Team, America's first national team in football composed of high school-aged players, kicks off its training camp schedule on Sunday, June 14, at Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, when a 45-player roster of new high school graduates soon to enter one of 33 college football programs comes together for the first time.

Qualifying national teams competing for football's first junior world championship hail from: Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Sweden and the United States. Those teams have held a series of tryouts and training camps in their respective countries since as early as February in some cases.

Among the camp's highlights at Walsh University will be a joint practice session between USA and Sweden on Monday, June 22 (2-4pm).

Details of each team's practice schedule during the tournament (June 27-July 5) are to be announced.

* All practices are free and open to the public.

* Free parking is available next to Walsh University's running track, adjacent to the university's four football fields.

* Players and coaches from all national teams will be available to media on field following every practice.

* Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

IFAF Junior World Championship games will be played on June 27, July 1, July 4 and July 5 (Championship Game). Each national team will play three games, all of which will be played in Canton's historic Pro Football Hall of Fame Field in Fawcett Stadium. For more information, visit www.jwcfootball.com.
