Each week throughout the 2009 season, several NFL organizations are honoring the job done by high school coaches in their communities through the "Coach of the Week" program. Coaches can be nominated several different ways - by their peers, mentors or other local officials.
The program looks to salute outstanding high school coaches who not only help to develop their players' football skills and knowledge, but also their character, discipline and leadership abilities - on and off the field.
