In honor of former NFL player Mosi Tatupu, who died on Feb. 23, the Tatupu Family has created the Mosi Tatupu Memorial Fund with assistance from USA Football, the sport's national governing body on youth and amateur levels. The fund will help USA Football continue its work to strengthen American Samoa's youth football program, which began its first season earlier this year. Tatupu was the first native-born American Samoan selected to an NFL Pro Bowl (1986) as a fullback for the New England Patriots.

Donations will assist in the development and advancement of youth football in American Samoa, enabling the island's youth to have opportunities through the sport to pursue dreams of education and athletics. Independent non-profit USA Football is a 501(c)3; all donations are tax-deductible (Tax I.D. # 11-3667205).
USA Football is the official youth football development partner of the NFL, its 32 teams and the NFL Players Association.
In January of this year, Mosi's son and current Seattle Seahawks linebacker Lofa Tatupu donated $10,000 to USA Football to assist in its work of establishing American Samoa's first youth football program.
Since 2008, USA Football has worked with American Samoa to establish organized youth football on the island, providing new equipment and USA Football's coaching education resources to serve the new league's volunteer coaches.
