Youth football leaders from across the country will gather in Canton, Ohio, for the 2010 NFL/USA Football Youth Football Summit from July 21-22.

USA Football recently completed a successful 2010 State Leadership Forum schedule from coast to coast, criss-crossing the country through 36 locations.

Since 2006, USA Football's State Forums have gathered youth league commissioners and leaders to discuss best practices and to make their players' youth football experience even better.

One leader from each forum was selected to attend the 2010 NFL/USA Football Youth Football Summit in Canton, Ohio, which takes place from July 21-22 and includes nearly 200 youth and high school coaches from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

"I plan to learn from the past and present greatness of the NFL, and by doing so, inspire our youth coaches, players and community," upcoming summit participant and Portland, Ore., resident Damon Miller said. "Learning strategies from the best can only improve my effectiveness as the Portland Police Athletic League's youth football commissioner. The strength of our league resides in our coaches' dedication and commitment to everything the NFL and USA Football stand for."

"League commissioners put in countless hours for the benefit of their coaches, players and their league's families," USA Football Membership Director Gary Del Vecchio said. "The summit in Canton is an exciting way for all of us to learn, share ideas and inspire one another to advance a game we love and hold dear - that's what football people do.

"Commissioners from across the country are working together through USA Football. As a unified football community, we're engaged, we're working smarter and we're making the sport better."
