- Team A & B
Team A is the team which put the ball in play. Team B is the opponent. Team designations remain the same throughout the entire down. - Team K & R
Team K is the kicking team. Team R is the receiving team. Team designations remain the same throughout the entire down. - Team Possession
Team possession is when one of the players on a team is in possession of the ball, or attempting to punt, drop kick, or place kick. A forward pass is considered in possession of that team during flight. During a loose ball, team possession is determined by the last player to have possession of the ball. - Time Out
