Björn Werner
Defensive Tackle
Björn Werner is a dominating defensive lineman who attends the Salisbury School in Connecticut where he played as a sophomore then returned to Germany for his junior year, but will again suit up for the Crimson Knights as a senior in 2009.
Standing 6-foot-5 and weighing 255 pounds, he is currently the No. 10 rated defensive tackle in the country on Scout.com and has received interest from Boston College, Cal, Virginia, Syracuse, Maryland, Rutgers, North Carolina and Vanderbilt. Other schools showing interest include Notre Dame and UConn.
Werner missed the 2008 European Junior Championship, where Germany won the gold medal with a 9-6 win against Sweden and a 4-0 record overall, with an injury.
He plays his junior club football with the Berlin Adler.

Randall Payne
Running Back
A 5-foot-6 rusher, Randall Payne scored the decisive touchdown that opened a nine-point fourth quarter lead against Sweden in the final of the 2008 European Junior Championship in Spain. He finished the contest with four carries for 73 yards and the all-important score earned him the game’s MVP.
Payne also scored on a 25-yard carry in Germany’s 34-7 group game win against Finland, as he led the team with eight carries for 85 yards and rushed seven times for 44 yards in a 20-7 victory against Denmark.
He plays his junior club football with the Wiesbaden Phantoms.

Mark Nzecho
Defensive Back
Mark Nzecho is the team’s leading cover cornerback and is an impressive athlete with the height to dominate the secondary at 6-foot-2. He posted two tackles and a sack for a 9-yard loss as Germany overcame Denmark 20-7 in the group stages of the 2008 European Junior Championship and made four tackles in the 9-6 gold medal win against Sweden.
He plays his junior club football with the Franken Knights.

Lukas Müller
Defensive Lineman
Lukas Müller anchors the dominating offensive and defensive lines for the Germans at 6-foot-7, 253 pounds and is deceptively fast for his size. He was a member of the team that triumphed in the 2008 European Junior Championship in Spain and posted two tackles and a sack in the gold medal win against Sweden and a sack in a 34-7 group win against Finland.
He plays his junior club football with the Dusseldorf Panther, a team whose former offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer (University of Houston) was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round (58th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

Robert Demers
Quarterback
Robert Demers is a 6-foot-2 signal caller who is described as the soul of the team. He led Germany to glory in the 2008 European Junior Championship. The Germans thrived on a run-orientated attack, but Demers still threw for two touchdowns in the tournament’s opening game, a 34-7 victory against Finland, as he completed 4-of-10 pass attempts for 78 yards.
He threw a decisive 71-yard touchdown pass in the final group game of the 2008 EJC to seal a 7-0 win against Austria and with it, qualification for the final game and a berth at the 2009 IFAF Junior World Championship in Canton.
He plays his junior club football with the Dusseldorf Panther, a team whose former offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer (University of Houston) was selected by the New England Patriots in the second round (58th overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.
