                The 2009 TYFA Playoffs get started on Oct. 31, 2009. On Halloween!

The CCC's and the AAA's will be hosting games at Bellevue Middle School field on Saturday, while the rest of our program's teams will be on the road at variuos locations, please contact your coach or team mom for any pertinent details for your childs game. 

With the playoffs comes a new sense of urgency because we all know "anything can happen" so if your team didn't do as well as you would like, theres always the chance of the UPSET victory in the Playoffs and if your team was on a roll this season, they need your support to keep it going, so come on out and support your favorite Steeler team, we need your full Black and Gold support! Let's get em Steelers!

                                    2009 Smyrna Preseason Bowl  Aug.1, 09

We will taking all of our Triple level teams and our pee wees to Smyrna Saturday, the 1st of August for the annual Smyrna Bowl!

This will be lots of fun for all players and coaches and is a good time to get some early football scrimmaging and evaluations in. All of our teams will be playing on Gene Carr field number one, so come to Smyrna and support your Steeler teams!

The admission is $3.00 for ages 13 and older and each game has a time limit of 1 hour and 15 minutes, check with your coaches or the T.Y.F.A page for directions to the Smyrna location. We look forward to seeing our Steeler teams in action for the first time this season! See you there!

                                     STEELERS .VS. TITANS AUG. 15, 2009

The Bellevue Steelers 5 and 6 year olds have been contacted by the Tennessee Titans to play at the halftime of the Tennessee Titans vs. the Tampa Bay Bucs preseason game at L.P. field on Aug. 15, 2009!

The Pee Wees are amped up and ready to show Nashville what being a Steeler is all about. The Steelers will be scrimmaging against our NEW division rivals, the Hendersonville Titans, this should start OUR Steeler pee wees and the Titans pee wees on to a good clean rivalry for the next few seasons! I know both programs will have a blast on Saturday, Aug. the 15th!  

Its the first preseason game for the Tennessee Titans and the fans should be ready to rock and roll, so come on out and support your Bellevue Steeler Pee wees, bring out the terrible towels and your black and gold pom poms, because you know when the Steelers play the Titans, N.F.L or T.Y.F.A - emotions run high!!

There will be a consignment sale Friday 7/24/09 at 6 p.m.  This is a time where parents can purchase items from other parents who are looking to sell.  The jersey and pants are provided as part of your registration fees and will need to be returned at the end of the season.  Remaining equipment that will be needed by football players are as follows:

Helmet (mandatory)

Shoulder pads (mandatory)

Girdle w/pads (mandatory)

Cleats (mandatory)

Mouthpiece (mandatory)

Arm pads (optional)

Rib protector (optional)

The Bellevue Steelers' 2009 season starts RIGHT NOW!  Make sure you fill out your registration form and submit it either online or at the field.  If you are unable to print or access the form, just come up to the field during practice hours (MTRF 6-7:30 p.m.) or on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and forms will be on-hand for you to fill out.  Remember, this year You Can Pay Online with a debit or credit card!!  Just click the Registration and Online Payment link on the left of your screen.

We'd like to give a Giant Steeler Thank You to the 6 Vanderbilt Commodore Football Players who came out to our Football camp on Friday and gave our kids some great skills training and football education.

These guys stayed with us the entire night and were available to answer any and many questions our kids or even our coaches may have had. They took the kids through many high level drills that will enhance our players performances this season and beyond, so we wanted to say Thanks Commodores and Good luck this football season!

We'd like to send a special Thank You out to the Head Football Coach of the M.B.A High School Varsity Football Team Daniel McGugin, for coming out to our camp on Thursday and speaking with the kids of our program.

Coach McGugin stressed to the kids the importance and rewards of hard work and giving it your all and concentrating on what you can do for yourself to make you a better player. The kids really enjoyed the motivational words from a coach who knows about the process of winning. 

We really appreciated coach McGugin taking the time out of his preseason schedule to come over and spend some time with the Bellevue Steelers as well as his open invitation to visit him and his team over on the West End campus!

Welcome to the home of the Bellevue Steelers of Nashville, Tennessee where competitive youth football has been played since 1977. Be a part of the legacy.  Our practices and home games are played at the Bellevue Middle School field @ 655 Colice Jeane Road.  The Bellevue Steelers are a proud member of the Tennessee Youth Football Alliance (TYFA).    

Recent successes include the 2008 CC TYFA Champions, 2008 BBB Runner-Up, 2007 PeeWee TYFA Champions, 2007 B Runner-Up, 2007 BBB Snapper Bowl, Panama City, FL Runner-Ups.

We will be having our second Football and Cheerleading camp starting July 13. The camp will run from the 13th through the 17th ( no camp on Wed. the 15th ). We will be getting ready for the upcoming season so come on out and get those football muscles stretched and acclamated for the upcoming season. Please make sure if your a rookie or a veteran, that you are drinking plenty of fluids and preparing your body for the summer HEAT!  

We will also be having some special guest coaches and Vandy football players coming to talk to our players this week during our camp, stay tuned for the details!

REGISTRATION For Football and Cheerleading Has Begun!

We will be at Bellevue Middle School Football Field every Saturday in June and July ( except on the 4th of July ) taking registration forms from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for the upcoming season.  You can also register during our Football and Cheer Camp on July 13th, 14th, 16th and 17th, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The time is near, so come on out and get signed up for a season guaranteed to be an exciting one!  

Registration is as easy as Down, Set, Hut!

You can download the registration forms from our web site or T.Y.F.A's web site. For football and cheerleading you need the player registration form 2009, the player code of conduct form as well as the parent code of conduct form. Print them out, and fill them out and that's it. 

You must also present a COPY of your child's birth certificate with the registration forms, if your child has been a part of our program before, we will have a copy of his/her birth certificate on file. If your child has not been a part of the program we will need a copy of it before he/she will be able to participate in any scrimmages or games, they can start practice without it being on file for about a week or so, or until our books have to be turned in to T.Y.F.A. The cost for Football is $135 and Cheerleading is $150.

We need more great players and cheerleaders so come on out and get signed up!

We will be having our 3 day mini CHEER CAMP at Bellevue Middle School football field on the 22nd, 23rd and 25th of June. The camp will cover a wide variety of cheer techniques, routines and dance and will be a lot of fun for all the young ladies involved! 

Our Cheer director Cecilia Reed and others will be on sight ready to go and so will our special guest cheerleaders from T.S.U! If your between the ages of 5 and 12 years old and are interested in cheerleading, then this will be the camp for you! 

See you on the 22nd of June @ 6:00p.m.!   

Cost of this 3 day camp is $20.00     

Football Skills Camp was great! We tightened up our skills, had the unveiling of our new uniforms (which look GREAT!!) and the camp was highlighted by the arrival of four Titans headlined by RB LenDale White and included C/G Fernando Velasco, WR Lavelle Hawkins, C Jason Murphy. It was an exciting and educational time for the kids. Thanks parents! Thanks kids! Thanks Tennessee Titans!! Pics are on our Feature Photos page. This will be an exciting season! We will be having our next Football Camp in mid July, stay tuned for the details!

The Bellevue Steelers would like you to join us in welcoming Ms. Cecilia "Ceci" Reed as our new Cheer Director!  Ms. Reed started cheering and gymnastics at the age of 4. She cheered all 4 high school years in Birmingham, AL also performing with the Birmingham All-Star cheer team. Ms. Reed is a former 4 year TSU cheerleader where she cheered for the All-girl and Co-ed teams serving as Captain and Team Motivator before becoming the Assistant Coach for the University. Later she worked for the Nashville Storm, a Semi-Pro team. She works for an all star gym teaching choreography and tumbling.  Ms. Reed is a resident of Bellevue and is looking forward to an exciting season of working with our young ladies.

There will be several opportunities to beat the lines and register early for the 2009 Season. 

The first signup will be at the Bellevue Picnic May 16, 2009 all day.  

Next at the Bellevue Steeler Camp May 18, 19 and 21st from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Bellevue Middle School football field, 655 Colice Jeanne Road. 

Then every Saturday in June and July (except the 4th of July) from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. also at the Bellevue Middle School football field. 

We're expecting record numbers of participants this year so don't wait until the last minute, sign up today!!

TYFA has added 3 new communities to the organization:  The Clarksville Greyhounds, The Madison Titans and The White County Spartans.   

We welcome these new communities to the league.

With these additions,  a few subtractions and some others that wished to be moved around TYFA has created a new Conference system.  This new configuration has brought some old friends back to our Conference and we look forward to giving them a proper welcome back when the season starts.

Don't Miss The Football Skills Camp Featuring Special Guests Wide Receiver Nate Washington and Safety Michael Griffin of the Tennessee Titans!!!  Only $20!!!

Players will learn the fundamental skills of football in a non-contact environment.  Skills covered during the three day camp will be proper football stance for offensive and defensive positions, blocking, tackling, receiving, and running. 

Players will learn about the various positions, skill sets needed and the importance of teamwork in the sport of football.  Whether you've played organized football before, or have never thrown a football, this camp is for you.

We have added new members to our board as members have rotated off.  New Board members  John Barfield, Casey Osborne, Darrell Gilbert and Jasmine Farmer have been added.  Returning members include Rodney Curtis, Dionne Pruitt and Justin Escoto.   Congratulations and thanks for agreeing to serve.  Our Board's 2009 Executive Committee is as follows:
