🅘The Coach Training Program is valid for the current calendar year and will automatically renew in January of each year using the payment method on file. You can cancel any time before renewal. The Coach Training Program is non-refundable, non-transferable, and not prorated. By purchasing, you acknowledge and agree to the automatic renewal policy. Our system will automatically determine your Level based on previous training by using your registered USA Football Account and email (using a different email or account requires starting over at Level 1). *Returning coaches are required to complete Abuse Prevention training every two years and Health & Safety training every four years. Additionally, eligible Level 2 coaches must complete an elective course in 2026 and pass reassessment quizzes each year to maintain compliance. Coach & Commissioner renewals receive automatic access to the Coach Training Program. Coaches who purchased the Youth Coach Course can add the Coach Training Program for $25. Discounts, benefits, and perks are subject to change.

The Coach Training Program brings together USA Football’s support by connecting coaches, league leaders, and club operators—both tackle and flag—to education, training, resources, sport standards, and competitive opportunities aligned with the official National Governing Body.
USA Football is the only organization authorized to select, train, and lead TEAM USA FOOTBALL®, one family of teams representing the U.S. in elite national and international competitions.
Coaches who want to pursue opportunities with the National Team or National Team Development Program must hold a USA Football Coach ID and complete all required training to remain eligible.
The most important information you should know about USA Football's Coach Training Program.
The Flag Officials Course costs $24.50 and is designed for new and returning flag football officials. Whether you’re stepping onto the field for the first time or continuing to officiate another season, the course supports officials working youth, high school, adult, and competitive flag football games.
Your level is determined automatically based on prior training tied to your USA Football account and email.
- Level 1 (New Coach): for coaches who did not complete the youth tackle or flag education and training courses provided by USA Football in 2025.
- Level 2 (Returning Coach): For coaches who completed the youth tackle or flag education and training courses provided by USA Football in 2025 and are returning for this year's training, which includes reassessment quizzes and picking an elective, Health & Safety (every 4 years), and Abuse Prevention (every 2 years).
IMPORTANT: If you use a different USA Football account or email, you'll need to start at Level 1.
Coaching Systems are drill- and video-based coaching libraries you can use to plan, teach, and progress skills. They're designed to support fundamentals, technique, contact preparation, and skill development—so you can build better practices and reinforce consistent standards across your team.
No, the reassessment quiz is not the only thing you must complete for the Level 2 Youth Coach Course. While the quiz is part of the process, you will also need to complete additional courses.
If you fail the reassessment quiz, you won't be able to retake it. However, you can still complete the Health & Safety module and the other required Level 2 modules to earn your Training Badge for completion.
